Margaretha Geertruida "Margreet" Zelle was born in 1876 in the Netherlands and rose to fame as the Parisian exotic dancer Mata Hari before being executed for espionage in 1917. Her story — beauty, mystery, scandal — sits at the heart of this fragrance, captured in a vivid, slightly powdery rose with carnation and cinnamon spice, anchored in a creamy sandalwood-vanilla base.
