The story behind Flower by Kenzo

Flower by Kenzo was conceived around the image of a single red poppy growing in the middle of an urban environment — the cover image of the ad campaigns famously shows a poppy lying on a city street. The composition's signature is the meeting of cool, slightly metallic violet with soft, powdery rose and opoponax, finished with a creamy vanilla-incense drydown. The Kokeshi Doll edition wraps that fragrance in an artist-painted, kimono-detailed wooden doll inspired by the 200-year-old Japanese folk-craft tradition of kokeshi-zukuri.
